‘Strategic partnerships will increase’
IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Can Muğan pointed that winning TUSIAD’s Entrepreneurship Flag for the third time in a row proved the University’s success in the field of entrepreneurship. Prof. Dr. Muğan stated that strategic partnerships with supportive organizations would continue increasingly.
‘Entrepreneurship in class’
As Prof. Dr. Hasan Fehmi Baklacı pointed out that there was an increased interest to the class, Lecturer Taylan Demirkaya, Director of IUE Embryonix, stated that they aimed to create entrepreneurship awareness among students. Demirkaya reported that they initially started with 24 students, and now almost 300 students took the Entrepreneurship Course. “Students got a chance to learn how a business idea is created and how that idea is turned into a business model during class. Market research is an essential part of turning business idea into reality. Financial planning determines the future of that enterprise. Students learned about all this throughout the semester and they created a business idea and business models during that time,” said Demirkaya.
