IDEAS WILL BE TURNED INTO A PRODUCT IN ENERGY
Business ideas of young entrepreneurs will be turned into a product. ENERJISA will help successful projects on a wide variety of areas such as renewable energy, energy storage technologies, smart building technologies, energy efficiency, etc. to be carried into effect as part of the “Development Program: From Idea to Product” co-organized with Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Embryonix Technology Transfer Office. Embryonix TTO will receive applications by April 30, successful projects will be included in incubation program in May, and later on, projects selected for "Fusion Day" will get a chance to be implemented by ENERJISA.
The introduction of the program took place at IUE Conference hall with the attendance of Prof Dr. Can Muğan, IUE Rector, Prof. Dr. Murat Aşkar, IUE Vice Rector, Alp Kaymaz, Group Manager, New Services and Customer Relations, ENERJISA R&D and Hülya Erdener Akınç, Manager, ENERJISA R&D.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Aşkar stated that they had been collaborating with various institutions and organizations in order to turn ideas into products, and that they started a project with THY, and now they were working with ENERJISA. Prof. Dr. Aşkar reminded that there was a great shortfall in energy, and he said, “Lately, renewable energy resources have become the center of attention due to increased environmental awareness as a result of concerns on global sustainability, climate change, global warning. Data management increased in parallel to technology. We aim to turn the business ideas of students, entrepreneurs into products by implementing these energy-focused projects”.
Alp Kaymaz, Group Manager, New Services and Customer Relations, ENERJISA R&D, pointed that Izmir had natural resources in terms of feasibility of sustainable energy technologies. Kaymaz said “Our country has a great potential when it comes to renewable energy sources, especially wind and solar energy. We are working to use this potential efficiently. We are looking forward to receiving your ideas and projects on current technologies in distribution networks, electric transportation technologies, renewable energy, information technologies, energy storage technologies, smart building technologies, advanced materials technologies, communication technologies, energy efficiency, occupational health and safety and environment, big data management, cyber security, supply chain sustainability and technical quality in distribution”.
