Anxiety, Learning, and Choices from Adolescence to Young Adulthood
Born in Izmir in 1959, Yankı Yazgan, following high school education at Bornova Maarif Koleji and Ankara Fen Lisesi (1977), he completed his medical studies at Ege University in 1983. Yankı Yazgan is a specialist experienced in children’s, adolescents’, and adults’ psychiatry. He has been working as a Professor at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine and a Lecturer at Yale Child Study Center since 1995.
Yazgan has numerous scientific researches and publications on psychiatry, molecular genetics, cognitive neuroscience, and human development. Besides his medical and academic career, he defines his goal as a ‘professional speaker’ and an ‘author-illustrator’ to make everyone understand about the human growth process and brain development, and practice it in their lives. In addition to many articles in the field of medicine and psychiatry,
Yazgan holds many awards and project supports. He has been writing articles on management of daily life and functioning of brain in newspapers and journals such as BirGün, Cumhuriyet Bilim Teknik, Yeni Binyıl, Yeni Gündem, etc. since 1987.
