BRANDS WILL MEET WITH DESIGNERS ONLINE
Young fashion designers willl bring their designs together with women’s fashion brands on an online platform. Brands will be able to reach young designers thanks to a web based system developed by Nurdan Boğa, student of IUE Department of Fashion and Textile Design, and her team mate Yağmur Boğa. The project came in third place at “Bu Gençlikte İş Var” titled competition organized by Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUSIAD) and brought a breath of fresh air to the world of design.
Boğa, guided by Cem Boyner, CEO of Boyner Group, said that designers would be able to subscribe to NUYAP’s interset site for free, upload their designs and resumes and present their drawings to the brands. Boğa said, “Designers will be able to present their drawings to the brands without having to provide samples. This way, the brands will be able to keep up with the fast fashion trend, and attain unique designs and designers.”
‘Designer transfer for brands’
Boğa stated that there was an annual fee for subscription for brand names, that they could purchase the designs they like and sell them as their own. She also said that they could make deals with designers to transfer them to their companies.
