IZMIR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS WILL BE HOSTING THE MEMBERS OF ESTIEM
More than 300 hundred industrial engineering and business management students from various countries across Europe will discuss the future of their professions at Izmir University of Economics (IUE). Members of the European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management Club (ESTIEM), one of the largest student communities across Europe, will be holding their council meeting at Izmir with the attempts of IUE students.
Students from 31 countries such as Germany, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and Russia will be able to get to know Turkey and the Turkish culture up close in the organization that will be hosted by IUE Industrial Systems Community ESTIEM Committee. Yücel Önal, President of IUE Industrial Systems Community, reported that after last year’s meeting at Novi Sad, Serbia, they applied to host the council meeting, and they won the election.
They will be hosting the 55th Council Meeting of ESTIEM, stated Önal and he said, “The event, with the participation of 300 academically and socially developed students, will be able to be followed up by a student network that reaches out to 60 thousand industrial engineering and business management students from best schools across Europe. The participants from 82 universities will be discussing topics like the future of industrial engineering and business management in Europe, project and time management, marketing strategies of leading companies, and importance of analytical thinking in business in addition to the council meeting. After the meetings, we will be introducing our city and country to the participants.”
Önal reported that the event would be taking place on November 13-19, 2017 at Izmir University of Economics, and they were very proud to be representing Turkey.
