DIFFERENT “ARTICHOKE” RECIPES FROM IZMIR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS CHEFS
Izmir Economics chefs turned artichoke recipes into world cuisine flavors. The young chefs created new flavors with artichoke in addition to traditional tastes at the "4th Urla International Artichoke Festival", co-organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Urla Municipality, and Izmir University of Economics.
The young chefs presented guests various dishes prepared with artichoke such as bread, lemonade, sushi, tarts, pizza, etc. IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Can Muğan bought and tasted the delicious flavors prepared by students and gave thumbs up to students.
Guests got a chance to taste delicious dishes made with artichoke at the booths set up Urla Cumhuriyet Square prepared by trainer chefs of IUE Department of Culinary Arts and Management, and world famous chefs from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Italy, Lebanon, and France.
IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Can Muğan stated that the students displayed their creativity with various recipes, and they spiced up the festival. The Rector said, "Students of IUE Department of Culinary Arts and Management enliven the festival. They bring a breath of fresh air to the regional tastes. They draw great attraction at the festival. This proves how much our education goes in the right direction".
