COZY CHIC DESIGNS BY IZMIR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS
Comfort and elegance is getting ready to make debut in Europe with Turkish textile products. The designs, made from organic cotton and linen, created by Jörn Fröhlich, Lecturer at Department of Fashion and Textile Design, Faculty of Arts and Design, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), will be sold in European countries via Kristin Wolf – Ciga, founder of TURENGLIFESTYLE.COM.
The collection, made from all-organic fabrics produced in Denizli, will highlight comfort and elegance in women’s designs. Fröhlich said, “I wanted to combine a comfortable yet elegant lifestyle in the spirit of the French rococo, “au boudoir”, (refers to a woman's private bedroom). I used organic cotton and linen, especially from Denizli, Turkey, to bring comfort and elegance in women’s designs. People are opting for clothes that are more comfortable nowadays. Outfits can transform with a little touch of accessories. With that in mind, I created cozy, sportive, and elegant designs for all occasions. I aimed to promote Turkish textile in Europe with my designs because these fabrics are unique and they last a lifetime. My collection is a sustainable slow-fashion collection with comfortable looks. Sustainability should become an important part of our lives”.
‘Woven with bamboo and eucalyptus fibers’
Kristin Wolf – Ciga da, founder of Turenglifestyle, stated that they would be selling the outfits over the internet to countries such as Germany particularly and to others. Wolf – Ciga reported that the clothing were made from certified fabrics, and supported by bamboo and eucalyptus fibers. “These fabrics last very long. They do not fade. These daywear designs will transform into eveningwear with a little touch of accessories because people are after comfort nowadays. By taking this into consideration, we want to show them they can be both comfortable, and look elegant at the same,” said Wolf – Ciga.
