IZMIR ECONOMICS: THE ADDRESS FOR ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS
Students of Department of Logistics Management, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) received their training certificates on “SAP” (Systems Applications and Products), used for production, stock, and number of goods sold, numbers of materials purchased, and follow up of staff and data control in companies. 43 students, who received SAP software training as part of the SAP – University Collaboration program by world’s largest inter-enterprise software company, are ready to enter the business world.
Students, who completed the modules within the scope of Logistics and Supply Chain Information Systems course, received their certificates from Prof. Dr. Filiz Başkan, Acting Dean of IUE Faculty of Business, Assoc. Prof. Özgür Özpeynirci, Head of IUE Department of Logistics Management, and Asst. Prof. Aysu Göçer and academicians from Department of Logistics Management.
43 students took SAP Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Warehouse Management (WM), Sales and Distribution Management (SD) modules. Top 10 students received Certificate of Appreciation in all three modules, 3 students received Certificate of Appreciation in two modules, and 7 students received Certificate of Appreciation in one module.
Asst. Prof. Aysu Göçer said, “This course takes academic and practical competence of our students to a higher level, and gives them competitive advantage in business world once they graduate. Those, who successfully complete this program, find career opportunities in areas of production, sales and distribution, human resources, finance, quality management, materials management, etc.”
