PROTOCOL OF EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION BETWEEN IZMIR UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS and NATO
Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) comes together with the academic world. Izmir University of Economics and NATO Land Forces signed a protocol of cooperation on graduate education for the first time.
The protocol, signed by IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Can Muğan and Deputy Commander LANDCOM Lieutenant General Paolo Ruggiero, allows employees and members of LANDCOM, and their first-degree relatives to attend Graduate Programs run by the Graduate Schools of Izmir University of Economics. In the event of five (5) or more individuals enrolling in the program, 25% discount will be applied to the tuition fee. The Protocol also has agreed to cooperate with IUE Continues Education Center.
In her speech at the protocol ceremony where Assoc. Porf. Efe Biresselioğlu, Director of Graduate School of Social Sciences, also attended, Rector, Prof. Dr. Can Muğan stated that they offered a new opportunity with graduate programs with/without thesis to those who wanted to give a new direction to their careers. Prof. Dr. Muğan said, “Our graduate programs are developed based on the needs of the era and the business world. We are offering a high quality education for those who want to achieve their high goals. We are signing such a protocol with NATO for the first time. The medium of instruction at the University is English in principle; however, some of the programs offer Turkish options. We allow youth and professionals to focus on the area they want to specialize. One area of specialization in today’s work life is not enough anymore; we have to welcome change and innovations into our lives”.
The Protocol allows employees and members of LANDCOM, and their first-degree relatives to attend Graduate Programs run by the Graduate Schools of Izmir University of Economics. In the event of five (5) or more individuals enrolling in the program, 25% discount will be applied to the tuition fee that is designated by the Board of Trustees each year. The Protocol shall remain in force for two (2) years.
