By approaching Picasso, esteemed guest of the art of painting in Izmir, from different perspectives, we aimed to generalize the contributions of creativity on the cultural economics of our city. Our collaboration took form with Arkas Art Center Director, Müjde Unustası and the contributions of İsmail Ertürk, consultant to the Rectorate. This collaboration between the University and Arkas Art Center is a very good example of university-industry collaboration in the area of creative economy. IUE Creative Economy Research Center makes sure to bring all kinds of economic value, bearing design and creativity, into view. We will be looking at Picasso from different perspectives, in terms of political science, design, psychology, communication, and informatics until the month of December.
