Stating that he enjoyed the pride of being the only Turkish citizen to have been invited to the forum that was held by Stanford Law School on 18-19 October 2019, Asst. Prof. Yolcu said, “It is very pleasing to attend a meeting where lawyers from different countries such as Argentina, Canada, and Japan are invited. I got an opportunity to talk about my studies at an international platform for two days.”
AN INTERNATIONAL REFEREE SELECTS THE PARTICIPANTS
Asst. Prof. Yolcu reported that the International Junior Faculty Forum, being organized for the 12th year, was established to stimulate the exchange of ideas and research among younger legal scholars from around the world. “Lawyers from different parts of the world talked about their studies during this 2-day forum sponsored by Stanford University, which ranks among top universities worldwide. We got a chance to discuss many topics with legal scholars invited from countries such as Australia, Sweden, England, etc. in addition to law schools of other prestigious universities in USA. Each year hundreds of lawyers apply to attend this forum. I was selected as one of the top 10 researchers by international referees, and invited to Stanford. I was also the only Turkish person to be invited to this forum in USA. This forum, which aims to support the studies of junior faculty, has been very fruitful by all means,” said Asst. Prof. Yolcu.
